The Obsidian Warlord is an imposing man from initial impression. Built like a bull, the man poses physique that would suggest that he focuses on strength over all. Well proportioned, he maintains some form of flexibility that his techniques and movements require him to do.Standing at 7'0 tall, he's a taller specimen of his kind. His posture always straight, along with a confident gait that he always maintain at all times.Despite being around 60 summers old by now, he doesn't look that age. This could be attributed to the chakra he collected or simply good genetics. He look like a warrior in his late 30s instead , or early 40s.
Chalky white body paint adorn his body in various tribal patterns and symbolism, these are the culture he adopted from his village, he believes these paintings provide him with protection and power to do the things he must do. That being said, the chalky paint contrast strongly against his obsidian skin.He can usually be seen adorned with lavish jewelry and gold, it is one thing to be physically imposing but another thing to be financially powerful as well. Regardless, he always base his wardrobe to display both of these as a way to exude his presence and assert his place wherever he goes. He knows exactly who he is and it shows on how he carries himself.(All Art by me)
To the sensitive eyes, Shaka doesn't seem out of the ordinary, he doesn't have aether of a voidsent or a cursed, what he has is just incredibly condensed Aether located throughout his bodies. These are his Chakras that he cultivated and perhaps stolen with his techniques, to the uninitiated he would be overwhelming in his density, his aether is expertly contained in his body however due to decades of training. In short, he is nothing special, simply powerful.

Try as he might to look invincible and immortal, he's neither of these, but he strives to be the image of power that demands respect and fear by those that are around him. He is however not without his flaws, and talents in which makes him 'hyur'.His way of thinking, his way of life, it all hearkens to the early days where the strong rule over the weak. With this mindset of strength in mind, he views things differently, where one would see a crime, he would simply see opportunity or weakness.Hardened by life in the harsh sands of Gyr Abania, where he lived in a coastal village where he was ostracized for having a witch mother, making him a witch himself. Villagers thought he would bring calamity one day, and bring ruin to their village and it's prosperity, needless to say when you give a child naught but hatred, he would return so in kind.His drive and obsession stems from his past as a starving child in his village, where even vultures circle around him waiting for his death. This is something he would likely never share, and desperately tries to hide, an image that he once, was the weakest of all.His views are incredibly traditional. He doesn't subscribe to modern Eorzean views and prefer to abide by the laws of his clan and the fists, however he have learned to be hospitable at the very least.

Hooks
The obsidian man is an ambitious one, not one to slow down to a simpler life, he crave excitement and dangers, he wants to destroy his weaknesses and obstacles and thrive, to revere his patron deity Rhalgr among other things. He intends to leave a mark in the annals of history, unwilling to fade away. Therefore he is in constant search for those that are willing to work with him, against him or for him.His arc is that of ambition and desires, though he has gold aplenty, what he lacks is the thrill of power, he wants to ascend to be what he once was in the past, a man worthy of praise and fear, both beloved and distanced. To be wealthier than all others, to be stronger than all others, he intends to prove to everyone that he is no longer a slum rat, and to be known as a conqueror.
Shaka has a lot of history with the Garleans, after all he worked enough with them for a citizenship, he might be seen as a traitor for his people by other Ala Mhigans.
He has a soft spot for survivors, and those with the determination to live against all odds. He also have a soft spot with those who have quite the potential, he intends to cultivate said potential to the fullest. (For his own reasons of course)
His occupation as Warlord brought upon him a multitude of hexes and curses casted upon him. He lives in constant suffering, and he constantly seek out aid from healers and other spiritual figures to cleanse him periodically.
Considers himself an investor, if your character have a business they want to set up, perhaps one can try approaching him for assistance
Might be a little naive to those he deem to be soothsayers and oracles, he's a man trying to find clues in everything he sees or hears, and make a move based upon what the heavens want him to.
Other older monks might know him, he was a student from a sect of shadow who joined the corpse brigade and the mad king's eradication of the monk order, he mastered anti monk techniques along with the brigade and took many chakras along the process
The obsidian Man is not a man made of gold, he is cold and calculating for the most part, and would find uses for any sort of people. He's known to hunt for both people and beast alike, selling them into slavery or enslave them himself. Perhaps you encountered this man in a wrong turn? Perhaps you have a talent, skill or looks that would warrant his attention?
Shaka detests weaklings, he's a natural bully and could be antagonistic to those he deem as far too weak to reedem themselves or defend themselves properly (elders are exempt)
If you are an attractive courtesan/Entertainer or anything 0f the sort, he might make use your services, to increase his appearance as a wealthy powerful man and of course for personal delight.
Despite everything else that he did, he makes for a damn good mentor if anyone wishes to learn martial arts, monk arts or weapon techniques. He's looking for successors and students because he knows he can't keep his 'prime' forever.
You are an artisan/Alchemist of sorts, he needs some goods made and completed for various reasons and he's willing to sponsor/blackmail to do it
He's known to provide loans to people, by either using agents or himself, though he collects the debts himself. He doesn't impose harsh taxes, but he does have harsh consequences for not delivering his money back on time.
In order to make his name known, he was a gladiator for some time, he's known for doing everything simply by his fists. He managed to rake in the champion title once and disappear for the most part from the gladiatorial scene.
He's open to an idea of a romance, though he's never had a proper long one before, due to the way he lives. But however, if there is someone special who can soften him up.. Well prepare for a trainwreck.
Currently looking for voidsent and other super natural creatures to increase his own strength, he's beginning a path to be a pseudo-punch reaper

Darker Themes I am aware that Shaka can be seen as a more gritty sort, but that is simply the RP that I enjoy doing. I love writing darker themes, and I have no limits when it comes to RP as I can separate fiction from reality very well, I am here to write a good story after all.
Power level this is always a difficult issue to tackle when it comes to writing collaboratively. But Shaka is meant to be an especially powerful character, he has experiences, time and certain events to push him to greater heights, he has served as antagonists for groups and FCs and as such combat RP is something that should be discussed beforehand. This doesn't mean I will force my writing on you, I will avoid many scenes with him so that other characters might shine and foster, he is a mentor like character as well as a catalyst for younger characters to grow stronger! Once you see him in this light, is where I can write my very best and provide you with an experience! Give him value and I in turn will give your character respect, attention and passion in my writing.
